Shot this for an assignment while listening to Ormakal

We all go through a phase at least once in our life when we are stuck to a piece of music, lyrics, or just the whole song in our head.

It was during the online days of 2020 when one of my close friend Vineeth introduced me to Malayalam songs and I kept listening to them on a loop. Some of them were, Nilapakshi, Ormakal, and some from the movie Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvvana Bhoomi. But then it was the least exposure to the malayalam world of music.

It was when I came to Kannur to start my offline classes. Obviously, DJs were happening in the college, a lot of mallu peeps and a lot of bus rides with Malayalam songs in the background.

Either you relate to a song through the lyrics or maybe through the visual frames. I don’t with any, I have nurtured pure love towards the music and the aura it has.

I took a deep dive in and picked each piece of a Malayalam song.

Now that my playlist is filled with them. I put Kabhi alvida na kehna, the next song would be cheratukal. I play Nothing else matters, next on the list would be Uyire. If I listen to hone do batiya, there would be Manikyachirakulla. It’s hard to escape the Malayalam magic world of music from my playlist.

Currently learning the lyrics of Mizhiyil Ninnum from Mayaanadhi.
